AworX is a creative talent marketplace based in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. We connect project owners and clients with verified Arab creative professionals across disciplines including animation, direction, music composition, graphic design, and more. Data We Collect

We collect only what we need to operate the platform effectively. Here is a breakdown:

How We Use Your Data

Every piece of data we collect serves a specific operational purpose:

• Account creation & identity verification: to register you on the platform and distinguish your account from others
• Project management: to run the escrow flow, track project status, and facilitate communication between talents and clients
• Payments & financial operations: to process bank transfers, match incoming payments to project orders, and handle withdrawal requests
• Notifications: to send you email and in-app updates about your projects, messages, and account activity
• Platform improvement: to understand how users navigate AworX and identify areas to improve
• Safety & dispute resolution: to investigate reports, enforce our community guidelines, and resolve disputes between parties
• Legal compliance: to meet our obligations under Saudi Arabian law and respond to valid legal requests

Third-Party Services

AworX uses a small number of carefully selected third-party providers. We share only the minimum data required for each service to function:

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data to any external party for commercial purposes. Data is never shared beyond what is listed above.

Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored on Supabase infrastructure with encryption at rest and in transit (TLS). We apply role-based access controls so that only authorized team members can access sensitive records, and only when necessary for operational or support purposes.

• All platform traffic is encrypted via HTTPS/TLS
• Passwords are never stored in plain text. Authentication is handled by Supabase Auth
• Financial data (IBAN, account holder name) is stored only as long as necessary
• Uploaded files (receipts, deliverables, portfolio items) are stored in private Supabase Storage buckets with access-controlled signed URLs

Cookies

AworX uses cookies and similar technologies for the following purposes:

• Session cookies: to keep you logged in during your browsing session
• Preference cookies: to remember your language (Arabic or English) and other UI settings
• Analytics cookies: to understand how users navigate the site (Google Analytics)
• Marketing cookies: to measure ad campaign effectiveness (Meta Pixel)

You can disable cookies in your browser settings. Disabling session and preference cookies will affect your ability to use the platform. Analytics and marketing cookies can be disabled without impacting core functionality.

Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.

• Account data is retained for the lifetime of your account plus up to 2 years after closure
• Project records and chat messages are retained for up to 3 years for dispute resolution purposes
• Financial records (transfer references, withdrawal history) are retained for 5 years as required by Saudi financial regulations
• Analytics data is anonymized and aggregated. No personal identifiers are retained beyond 26 months (Google Analytics default)

Your Rights

As an AworX user, you have the following rights over your personal data:

• Access: request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
• Correction: ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete data
• Deletion: request deletion of your account and associated personal data (subject to legal retention requirements)
• Portability: receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format
• Objection: object to specific uses of your data, particularly for marketing purposes

Children's Privacy

AworX is intended for users aged 18 and above. We do not knowingly collect personal data from individuals under 18. If you believe a minor has created an account, please contact us immediately at privacy@aworx.net and we will remove the account promptly.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you via email or a prominent notice on the platform at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Your continued use of AworX after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
